I am looking into buying the vortec heads and intake for me 1994 silverado(5.7)
and i was woundering what the difference in the DUAL plan and the SINGLE plan which would be better for "hp." or is there a difference? also what is the cast number on the heads mean??? (example 062 casting or 906 casting???) which is better??

A single plane intake manifold is generally better for high rpm engines. A dual plane will give you a broad powerband sacrificing high end power.
Head casting numbers in the LSx world are the last three digits of the casting number on the head. Inside the head, the full part number is embossed. On an LSx engine the 3 digit casting number is present on the top surface of the next next to the valve cover. The casting number will give you the ability to research the stock data for the head such as valve size, compression dome size, intake and exhaust runner size and stock flow numbers of the head.
