Ok, i got another shaft made today and it is made of 3.5" steel. I installed it but i'm still getting vibes around 60mph becuase when the other shaft broke it tore up the pinion yoke, it spread the two things apart that the ujoint caps set into.
everything below 60mph is 200% better, i always thought that the rough feeling in the shifter was the hard, poly trans mount, but it's gone now, very smooth.
tomorrow i'll get another pinion yoke and see how it feels,
the critical speed of this fatter shaft should help out a lot, i guess i'll find out, i'm still ordering another one like i mentioned before, this one i got today is heavy as a mofo, and i'm sure that's not good for the 1/4 mile.
