Eibach coil springs?

I just got some dubs and now I want to level the truck out. The ass is in the air.
The front actually looks fine because the bumper I have (Yukon Denali front end swap)is so much lower than the Sierra bumper I had.
I wanted to go with the full Hotchkis 2/4 drop, but I think going 2" in the front will be too much. Anyone have experience with either brand?
Anybody else with the Denali front swap and lowered? How'd you go about this?

Ok, my questions are:
1) Would an Eibach 1.5" coil spring in the front and 4" Hotchkis leaf springs be a good combo? Will I lose that much performance, handling wise, if I go with the Eibach coils instead of the Hotchkis?

2)I have the Hotchkis sway bars for the 2/4 drop, if I get the Eibachs, will that affect my using the front sway bar because I'm using Eibach coils and not the 2" Hotchkis coils?

3)What is the part # for the Eibach coils, either the 1.5" or the 1"(if they make these)...I can't seem to find the #, maybe because I'm dead tired and it's kinda late.

BTW, this is the passenger side (duh)...Note the wheel gap...ok?
The truck has the infamous "chevy lean" so there's less wheel gap on the other side.

What size tires do you have? I have the 2/4 hotchkis drop and 18" tires. I think I ended up ( measuring in a parking lot) .5" under a stock 2001 1500 on 16" tires. I beleive it was from ground to top of bumper. I love the way my truck handles since I went with the Hotchkis springs and sway bars. On my member page there are picture of my tires and drop if you want to check them out. I am not sure about the other brand but I have a couple of friend with F-bodies that are running them.
1 Handling you be be close to the same height so 1.5" - 2" drop not a big deal so I would say it will come down to the differance in the spring design.
2 not sure but I would think with the less drop the way they are mounted would be differant.
3 don't know.

If you want I will get a picture with a piece of paper or cardboard on the side of the truck if you get me the measurements from the bottom ot quarter panel to bottom of bumper. Hope I help a little

Since i'm not there to take a real look... measure from the middle of the rim to the bottom of the wheel well and look at the tape measurer and see what will clear the top of the tire and give you the look you want.

the chevy lean blows, when you lower it, its even more noticeable and ppl will see it, only way to fix it and be lowered... bags.. or go back to stock to see if it solves it. My s-10 had the chevy lean with stock suspension.. drivers side sat about 1" lower.

Ok I measured center of wheel to fender 17" with 2" drop Hotchkis springs. 4" drop in back is 18.25" leaf springs.

I did the eibach springs up front, and i got a full 2" on my drop, the bilstiens are the best in my opinion.

the rear was done with wester chassis shackles and hangers, the hangers are 2-3" adjustable. so that's cool, but i wish it would go 5".

i'd say a 2/4 drop would be just right for you ride, too much more and it looks like the front bumper, denali, will be a problem.

My tires are 275/50/20 all around. In the front I'm sure I could drop it 2" in the front no problem, what I'm unsure of is the clearance/wheel gap will be enough in the unlikely event I hit a huge pothole (Not to mention my bumper cover will get fucked!!).
Will I bottom out and ruin something? When/if I install the full Hotchkis 2/4 drop, I will be also installing Edelbrock IAS shocks per recommendation of Hotchkis.
Will that help stiffen the ride even more so there won't be much "play" when going over bumps?

You&#39;ll be fine with a 2/4.. i&#39;ve seen ppl with 20&#39;s and a 4-6 and not drag anywhere.

Just be extra careful and go over speedbumps sideways.

you&#39;ve got 5.41" of sidewall, so you should be fine as far as ride quality and you shouldn&#39;t run into bent rims.

Glad you went with a 50, but you&#39;ll have to ditch it if you bag it, unless you want to do more cutting and frame mods to get it to lay flat.

In that picture, there&#39;s 4" clearance....from the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender. So I&#39;ll only have 2" clearance (obviously) if I go with Hotchkis. I don&#39;t have a problem going slow, I just know no matter how slow I go, I&#39;ll scrape my bumper cover unless I&#39;m really careful. :tantrum:
I&#39;ve seen trucks like mine with 4/6 and 20s and they&#39;re fine as long as they drive slow.
That&#39;s what I wish I could avoid, but it doesn&#39;t look like I can. And I&#39;m only going 2/4.
