rant
So I'm driving home from class today doing 45 (speed limit), and as I'm literally no more than 50 feet from a 3 way intersection with a green light this Jetta going the opposite direction makes a left turn right in front of me. 2 more feet and I would have plowed into them and it would have been bad...3 kids in the back, 2 of em in car seats. I've never been that scared in my life, they would have been smashed all because their idiot driver didn't pay attention to oncoming traffic. Obviously it wouldn't have been my fault but the fact that there was kids in there freaks me out about it. All I had to do was lock the brakes, or even glance at my Speedo for a sec and it would be a different story. (happened to get new rotors and pads about a month ago too)
Might not be that big of a deal, but its the closest I've ever been to a bad accident and it just freaked me out.
moral of the story: pay attention on the road, especially if you have kids.

The lack of common sense is a growing trend. Survival of the fittest at its finest.

People are just idiots. We are cautious when we have the baby in the truck. I refuse to ever let him ever be in the GF's car. That's why I am giving her my truck. You never know when some jackass might slam into her, or her be at fault somewhere.
I know the truck isn't a tank, but i feel better with a full frame around mini me.
