i have a stock 5.3 liter, 112K, tranny is slipping above 3600 rpm. my buddy has a turbo 350 he ran in a 95 t/a. with a 3200 stall. The truck is stock. would this be possible? would driveshafs need to be lengthned or replaced? Any problems i may face?
any input would be very appreciated.

Sell the 350 and use the money to offset the cost of the rebuilt 4L60E. You will put a lot of money out just to run a turbo 350 plus you will lose overdrive. Cottmans quoted me $650 to rebuild mine as a carry-out. You will save many headaches if you just get the stock one rebuilt. A good salvage yard tranny may be found for less money and carry a warranty, also. I picked mine up for $400, so shop around. You will probably get SES warning lights due to no feedback from the trans about oil temp or other things it checks.

The only trans aside from an 80E I'd think about swapping to would be a 200-4R... better ratios, same 27T output shaft, and holds tons of power when built.
Dump the TH350.
