well im thinking of building a truck once i get back on my feet, im thinking ob finding a 2003 1500 single cab short bed 6speed>? and making it a ss clone, i know its gunna be a project but i wanna start a list any help and ideas would be appreciated, im thinking of eather, doing a pro charger on a 5.3, doing a ls1 swap, or a ls2 swap, or ls3 swap, or a l92 swap, pros and cons on each would be great, ive never done it but i want a bad ass clean looking fast street truck, thanks guys... and keep truck'n

Welp, you aren't gonna find a 6 speed. All you are gonna find is a V8 (4.8 only) work truck with a 5 speed or a 6 banger with a 5 speed. With that a t-56 could be swapped in to obtain a 6 speed. The stock manual 5 speeds aren't good for much powa.

So if you get a v6'r do the LS swap. If you get the V8 you are stuck with the 4.8. So either way you will have work to do.

The work truck v8 is usually, not all that I know of, are rubber floor and no power.

hummm well i wanto buld like a ss clone single cab short bad, but im willing to do a swap just need to pick a motor and a tranny, i got lifts and my gf's dads a sr mechanic for 30 years at the dealership so he can help me but dont know much about chevy stuff but can do swaps and crap. so i just need a list of crap and we'll get er done lol....
