Warranty / Tuner shadow?
Just asking for a freind of mine that is going to buy a hand held and is wondering if the predator will leave a shadow or evidence that it was there?? So if he goes in for warranty and takes the tune out will the dealer beable to see that it was modded etc? Its a 2010 1ton 6.0l Sierra. His ford you would have to untune and then drive around for a few days before taking it to the dealer?? Or at least so he told me. Anyone ever heard of this or think that it will cause any problems etc?? THanks for any info!!

Programmers sometime do, not sure if that one does. Professional tunes do not, unless the tech has a sharp eye and notices some parameters changed

Tech at my dealership noticed... and I had a stock tune uploaded. Mine is an 08 though and he told me that it has just started. So... basically for sure 08 and after can be seen.

Ok thanks guys! How long did you run the stock tune again before seeing the dealer? Did they hassle you at all etc?

Predators can't be seen on an NNBS, or so they say. Just update back to stock tune and bring it in.
On a similar note, tell your friend to ditch the Diablo and get a custom tune, the U7194 Predator for the NNBS trucks doesn't have TCM support so it cannot take out trans TM. If he's still interested in one after that, shoot me a PM and I'll sell him mine with a serial cable so he can data log and such... I'm on the BlackBear waitlist
