any tips to hook on street

guys what are your wheel/tire/suspension setups to hook on the street.
now that i got the ly6 and stall,it spins bad from dig and thats cuz i really havent gunned it all the way it being on the 4.8 tune still...
so far it'll be on 4.10/tru trac,,some 17's,flip kit with 2' shackle,airshocks.
i wanna try and get a set of 17's with the M-H 275/55,maybe set of cal tracs,better shock and remove the 2' shackle.
ive got sort of a rake now.its lower in the front,im actually thining on removing the drop springs,maybe for some better weight transfer?
ill be doing quite of bit of street racing now,but wont help if i cant hook.so whats your setup?

Not that I put down near the power you do but when I got my truck it couldn't hook at all. Went to a 275/60/17 Hankook Ventus, 2" shackles, pinion angle shimmed to -4, Rancho RS9000 adjustable shocks. Now I'm sure when I go to 3.90s and my kinda stockish 5.3 I'll have to put some more tweaking to it.

nice,yea im going to look into some shocks just dont know what brand guys are running,,these air shocks give me bad wheel hop sometimes when i had the 4.8

i'd def get caltracs, and change out the airshocks...or just lower the pressure when you're racing.


I had them on my camaro, would air them up for street, so it had a nice rake to it, and put them down to like 10psi when racing, so the back would squat and transfer weight.

Edelbrock IAS, Rancho Adjustables, or Bilstein shocks. Id go with either of the first two but if budget is in question then Bilstein works great.

i would go with some rancho adjustable shocks, and some caltracs. that what im running
