Decisions, decisions
Been a long time lurker, rarely post though I love reading what you all have to say.
This may come off as a dead horse that already been thoroughly beaten, but I'm just stuck in a rut as to whether or not to pursue a lq4/lq9 swap or stick with the lm7 and build it up.
I own a pewter 2001 ECSB GMC Sierra z71 SLT that my Dad gave to me as my first vehicle when he bought an SRT8 Charger. He took immaculate care of it, and those who aren't the most knowledgeable of cars sometimes have trouble believing it's a decade old, and it is now at around 99, XXX miles. What I'm meaning to say is that the truck holds a lot of sentimental value to me.
As of now, it has a Jesse Bubb Performance tune, CAI, exhaust, and 2" lowering shackles in the rear. My guess is that it probably puts down somewhere around 235 to the wheels, whereas my goal would be to get it around 350.
So, should I throw on some LT headers and a cam and just call it a day, or go all out with a 6.0 swap? Keep in mind I'd much prefer to keep it n/a.

Mild cam and bolt ons will get you very close if not right on.

At the end of the day a 6.0 will be faster, but the for money the block alone will cost you can modify the 5.3 to be pretty decent. Depends how crazy you want to get.
