Anyone near the silver lake area in LA?

One of my lady friends from school is in LA for an internship (which she isn't getting paid for:eek:). I guess her brakes started making noise right before she got there, took it to a shop today, they said she needs pads/rotors...and they gave her a quote of over 600. It's an 07? avenger, I can't imagine parts are more then 150...was wondering if anyone wanted to do any side work. OR if you know of a legit shop that is slightly more honest with their prices
