Drag Radials
I recently had Allen and the crew at Nelson Performance put a custom grind cam in my truck. I wanna go to the track when I get home for days off. Problem is last time I was at the track (when I ran a 13.0) I would spin in 4wd if I built more than 6 or 7 psi of boost off the line. I wanna get a set of 4 drag radials and put them on some stock rims or something. I don't know anything about drag radials, not real sure what size and kind to get. The truck currently has 285/70/17 bfg all terrains. I just wanna do it right this time and see how far in the 12's I can get. Any suggestions or comments appreciated. If I put this in the wrong section feel free to move it.
Thanks guys,
Sam

Goodluck is all i can say!!!lol
I like my M.T. E.T. streets though.

Do they hook pretty good? Where did you get them at?
-
really for 4x4 you will get traction with any drag radials...nitto,m&h,mt et streets or hoosiers. just get the ones that you can get the best price for since you have to buy all 4.

you shouldn't need drag radials i leave off 8-10 psi in my dmax and dont spin. what was your tire pressure, where were your tortioin bars set at. also what rpm was that at. also drive around the water box...

Pretty sure tire pressure was 35-40psi. Torsion bars are cranked a little bit, but not much. I actually cranked them down alot to help with launching. Around 2600rpm or so. I always drive around the water box lol. Does anybody make a 30" drag radial that will fit on 17" rims? I found these, among others but they are all 25 to 26" Mickey Thompson - Mickey Thompson ET Street 3743 - Tire - StreetSideAuto
I don't want anything that small because I am already limited to my top speed with my 4.10 gears.
