I have a 06 rcsb silverado with a 5.3. Its fully bolt on from PRC heads on down except for camshaft and stall. Would TR224/224 be the best cam for mid to high range? Any suggestions for a better cam? Plus in thinking about going with a PTC stall.

224/224 would probably need a 3600 stall to see its full potential. Also 4.10s probably. If you wanted to go smaller a 3k stall would work good with a tr220.
I help with a few trucks... 224/224 is basic camshaft if you ask me... I have an 2004 ex cab ls6 with 234/240 with a yank3600 and it was pretty good all motor... pushed full body ex cab LT almost in the 12s on motor... But i drove it last night 40-50 miles.. Truck acts ALOT different going from 28" slicks to a 30" street tire... 598 598 228/232 114 :) dont foget good springs and pushrods
i plan on ordering the tsp224r cam hopefully in the near future with 3200 stall and 3.90s or 4.10s. what size stall were you gonna run?
226 or 228 cam 3800 stall ;)
nawzzz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
try one of the new lsr lobes from comp, i am planning on swapping one in on my truck soon.
the 224 is a pretty standard cam down here in the valley alot of people are running it with a 3200 stall with gears and get some good results out of it.........
