hey guys ive had my 5.3 in my 78 chevrolet c-10 going now for over 6 month and ive been using turbo cherry bomb muffler those things are terrible !!!!!! they are both 2/14 in inlet and outlet i dont like the barky sound thet make !!!! anyone got an idea on better mufflers for my truck i was told to get either magnaflow or flowmasters but what model , series or size i really dont like the sound of those barky cherry bombs!!!!

I have a flowmaster super 44, 3inch in, twin 2 1/2 inch outlets, from what i have been told it is the perfect sound for the 5.3. i have nothing against magnaflow, but i have always run flowmasters and never had a single problem. I drive at 60-70 on the freeway and if you have the windows open or the music on, there is no drown. and even with windows up and no music the drown is no worse than stock.

i love my new magnaflow p/n 12579, 3" single in, 3" single out and ran to the back like a factory tip. you can have it running and still have a conversation, and with the music off you can barely hear it inside the cab.
