milling heads need help

i am milling the intake side of my head down and i was wondering how far i could go before i have to modify my intake manifold? and its a 6.0 lq4

I don’t understand, are you milling to get a higher CR?

If you are milling the intake side down(No reason to) you can't go to much because you can't make the factory intake wider or an off the self aftermarket. You will need a custom built sheet metal intake. Now if you ar doing half the head then you are going to have sealing issues because the deck surface will have a step in it. Now if you ment the milling the deck surface to get high compression the plastic manifold are forgiving and you will have to worry more about deck surface thickness before any thing.
