Did you happen to the read the whole article? Especially the part where it mentioned that shortly after his record breaking shot, He suffered a minor gunshot wound and then his Humvee hit a roadside bomb and he broke both of his arms. That freakin sucks. Cangrats to him though, Helluva shot!

it is the most coveted record of ALL records... anyone that doesn't like it, hasn't ever had to defend their country. Shooting at that distance is about 1% talen and the rest complete luck

Saw it on PT.net Freakin awesome. The guy took a taliban bullet to the helmet and it deflected the bullet enough to not hurt him badly. Def the record of records. The % is a whole lot less that 1 % I would say less than 1/10th of 1 percent have the talent to be snipers.

I would say its 1% talent and 99% luck. However it does take 100% brass balls.
my brother and my Dad do competitive long range, they are both very competitive in the 1000 yd class. I could run off a bajillion numbers and figures and math, but basically we figured this shot out today, he would have had to have about 330 feet of holdover, massive amounts of wind correction, it is an incredibly impressive shot, wasn't even using a .50 either. Some kind of .338 spin-off.
