A/C coolant
So I decided to recharge my A/C this morning since it's never been done and the compressor was cycling a little more than it should. When I connected the hose, some of the coolant sprayed out a little and I noticed it was a neon green color. I'm wondering if the system had a leak before I bought it and that was the dye they put in to locate the leak. Sound about right?

That could be the oil that lubes the system, did you also put in the oil that lubricates the system or just coolant?
Your supposed to re-oil your A/C system any time you charge it I believe.

HA "improves gas mileage". wonder how.
Some cans come with the neon green stuff along with freon. Nothing to worry about

Sometime around 2003 they started putting that green stuff in at the factory.
BTW, if your system is low on coolant you have a leak. Refrigerant doesn't wear out or get used up. If it is missing, there is a leak.

It blew cold, but a buddy of mine had some of this left, so I threw it in to make it a little colder. The compressor is still cycling the same. Compared mine to a co-workers and it's the same. I don't see how it would improve gas mileage either. Selling point I'm sure.
