oil pressure problem

sorry if this is a dumb question, but heres my problem when im at idle it sits at 40 and the more i get on the gas the higher it jumps up and goes back to 40 when i let off, like when i really get on it it jumps straight to 80(and i know i fluctuates all ready but its doing it real bad now) , what does this mean? it never drops below 40 though, any help would be great

it means you have good oil pressure and dont know how your oil pump works... :lol:

once my truck is warmed up it usually sits at about 40 or just above that at idle...cruising on the highway it sits about 60...wot about 80

but i mean it jumps drastically to 80 when i half way push the pedal, it just doesnt seem healthy to my truck to me
