Tsp 228r

Hey has anyone ever run the TSP 228R camshaft on a 5.3? I'm just curious if it would be worth it. Before everyone asks I'm running a BBK SSI intake w/ 80 MM throttle body, 243 Z06 heads, long tube headers, haven't chosen the stall or cam either, looking for suggestions.

I guess no one has run that cam.

There are a few guys that run that cam in a 5.3 but you need a 3600 or bigger stall or it will just bog out of the hole.

I have it in my daily driver... I Like it. Makes pretty good power all the way up

and I have a stock stall and 3.42 gears

You are running a stock stall with that cam and it's producing good? Are you pulling my leg?

hittin the 100 shot about a truck length or 2 out of the hole im cuttin 1.8x 60ft with that no stall and gears...

and thats on my stock 5.3 with just bolt ons (191k miles)

my friend has a 228r behind his 5.3 , its has some massive mid top end.

but you need a big a$$ stall to get you going+ some gears atleat 3.73 or 4.1X's
