ok i just came across some motors and blocks would like some input. ok i can buy a bare 5.3 block with the all the covers,cam retainer and lifter trays for $80 or i can buy a 6.0 block bare for $300 or i can buy a long block 5.3 for $300. im going to completely rebuild the motor before i put it in the truck regardless of the engine what would you do
What comes with the 6.0? for a little bit more you could buy a rinnung lq4
just the block and main caps no covers or retainers but he has them for extra like 30 with bolts he also has cranks to 30 for a standard and 75 that have turned 10 and checked. he has alot of mis. parts to
I would just spend the extra money on a running 6.0 $300 for a bare block is crazy.
where can i find a running 6.0 for that i have looked all over around here and cant they all want like 1000. i was planning on aftermarket rods and pistons
im just weighing my options and the cost im not shure what im doin yet

I would buy both. Get the 5.3 for all the covers and parts. Get the 6.0 to build up a 370 or 408 and use all the parts from the 5.3 with it. Sell the 5.3 block for $80 and you got the covers and parts for free.
