So ive been comtenplating doin a swap for a while now. I have a 2002 traillblazer, and want to swap to a 422ci engine. I found a pretty good deal on lunati rotating assembly and block, all new. The question is will it work without extensive labor ( when i say extensive i mean am i gona have to pay out the ars for installation), i need a good shop around austin/san antonio i can get the job done. How good is the lunati rotating assembly, how much hp/tq will it hold. I would like to go to a shop now and work out the plans ahead of time, before i invest a crapload of money. I will be running 8.5 or so compression with a gt45r(maybe a lil smaller) turbo. Sorry for all the questions, but i figure u guys would know. Thanks

I don't know how much power the Lunati reciprocating assembly can handle, but the idea of a 422 cu in a trailblazer sounds awesome. Good luck. I hope it works out.

Joe from www.jagperformance.com and Allen www.nelsonperformance.com can get that beast running.
That setup sounds sick  , be sure to have a built 4L60E or a 4L80E to handle that kind of hp and torque.
The best of luck with your project, that thing is going to haul a$$. :burnout:

You can get a 408 from HPE in Houston for ~$3900 fully build ready to kickass.

but do yall know of any shops in austin that can first make sure all the dimensions are right, so there wont be a need for much fab work, make sure the 80e will work out, as well as the escalade awd transfer case. I need this first, then if does work out I can buy the parts i need. Hopefully i pick up a couple of sponsors along the way as well. Thanks

I know a good shop in North Austin / South Round Rock. Most of what they do is Japanese, but they are extremely compitent and have done most of the work on my truck as well as several other trucks I am aware of.
Automotive Specialists / John Long

Other than that, I am not aware of much. I know Nelson Performance can do excelent work in SA.
