do i need to flash the 05 escalade ECU for the 06 4.3 v6 vin# in order for the truck to start
2006 silverado 4.3 w/ a complete 05 escalade 6.0 motor swap ,harness ,ECU DBW swap, ect...
still has the v6 ignition system just motor/trans and ecu wiring has been canged??
idk, did you order a tune or tuning yourself, to me it would seem that having matching VINs on the ECM and Truck would be a good thing to have.
What PCM did the 4.3 use? Probably not the same one as the Esky.
I think you mispoke about using the V6 ignition system, not sure what you actually meant.
You can't really just flash any VIN you want anyway. The VIN and OS pair has to match. The V6 VIN won't match a V8 OS. It really doesn't matter, it will run with any VIN.
The PCM is the same, just needs reflashed, setup for the V8

funny thing is that the lights acted up when i hit the brakes the front running lights lit up WOW!!! looks like i have the electrical demons
