remote mount filters??
i am wanting to use remote mount oil and transmission filters, mostly to make it easier to change fluids. so my questions are will i have an unsafe pressure drop?, what do i do about the stock trans. filter?, i have an aft. market trans cooler- will that be an issue?, and will i get longer life out of my fluids and trans. with more filter changes? im ready to hit buy it now and add the filters to my stack of parts waiting to be put on if it wont burn up a motor and tranny. any one else done it?

The only time you need to change transmission fluid is when it either turns a darker colore or smells somewhat burnt which you have lowered the chance of with an external cooler. And how would that make fluid changes easier? You still need to get under the truck to remove the drain plugs.

If your trans fluid is burnt and dark, then your tranny is toast. Too late to change it then

If you are towing or asking a lot of your trans and the converter is slipping, fluid will get hot and discolor. Once fluid stays too hot for too long it quits doing what its designed to do and will not shift and dissipate heat from clutches as well. Although, if it is very dark then yes its toast. Very dark fluid is burnt with clutch material in it. If you can write your name in the clutch material in the bottom of the pan then its time for a rebuild.
