Well Allen, if you remember the old 1964 chevy truck we use to race after work... :burnout: I'm jerking the 327 out and the ls1 is going in. BUT I'll need help from you guys.
1) The biggest question is motor mounts. Where to get them??
2) Will a turbo350 work with these motors?(I have one already, shifts HARD)
3) I want the biggest, baddest cam I can have. Rough idle would be great for car shows. Only vaccum would be power brakes. Thinking about the hot cam!!! Maybe 108-110LSA.
4) Just ordered the Edlebrock carb intake. (I KNOW, I KNOW E.F.I is better, but I want the oldschool look.) Question is how can I get the coils off the valve covers? Make a bracket and use longer wire. I've seen a valve cover that goes over the coils. that might work.
5) Last question, I haven't bought a motor yet. Would you go with a LS1 or 6.0L. Weight saving on the LS1 but bottom end of the 6.0L. AND what would be a good price for each. All I need is the long block, pulleys, and motor mounts. No wiring or EFI.
Thanks for yalls help, Travis

Motor Mounts!!!!!! :help:

Motor mounts....hotrodlane.cc street and performance makes nice ones. check past posts for all the info for the swap. We need to make a sticky out of a list of suppliers and parts needed since we answer these questions every two weeks. Go for the LS1 to save massive weight on the front end. You'll be at least .1 faster with the aluminum LS1 5.7L vs. the LQ9 6.0L cast iron block.
