why does this have to be for an lt1! why! unless it works for a 4.8 by any chance lol dont think it does tho
60E style behind the LT1's were a bit different. Different Input shaft length i think. New 60E's won't work.
true, you cannot use a 60e convertor from a Gen1 or Gen2 transmission on a Gen3/4 due to the difference in styles of input shafts. The older style had a small input shaft support guide on the end of it plus the depth of the convertor is too shallow to reach the hole in the crankshaft that supports the weight of the convertor. The bolt pattern is a little different, too, IIRC.
This would work well for someone doing a 5.3L Swap and using the 4L60E from there 96-98 pickup.
