Going to lift her up

Ok so I've been doing some studying on the board and have decided on the Procomp 6" lift kit for my truck. I drive it every day to and from work, and ocationally on the freeway, but most of the driving it does is on dirt roads out in the country! Is there anything else I need to think about getting other than what comes in the kit? Here is a pic of what it looks like right now. My truck is the one with the quad in the back. The look I'm going for is kind of what the other pic looks like.

Tie rod end sleeves or the cognito kit, cognito idlers and pitman ARM kit, possibly gearing, especially with the 60e , 4.56 if 35s, and a stailess braided brake line kit should make it a very stock feel dependable dd

Very well said, I would only add that gearing would be a must for towing and carrying any sort of weight in the bed, without killing your 4L60E.

I really have enjoyed my lift and I do use and abuse my truck, the Pro Comp has held up great. I have also heard good things about the RCX kits and you can grab one of them up for just under a grand.

Chevy Suspension Lift Kits

I have the rcx kit torsion drop kit and its holding up incredibly, just torque everything and Ur safe. And it has very minimal cutting and no welding required. Very easy install for DIY

Thanks guys. My pitman arm and idler are alredy shot so that gives me somewhere to buy one! LOL!

U still have to buy replacements, the. Support system is so it doesn't happen again, replace Ur idler pivot at the same time

anyone have any opinions on the RCD lift kits for chevys? a guy I know has a 6" RCD kit and it looks pretty good. I can't find anything on this board about them.

do you plan on doing any offroading or is it just a dd? i magazine i have has a 10 suspension shootout on gm ecsb trucks, i will look and see how rcd done against all the other ones

It's just going to be a daily driver, freeway driver, once in a great while on a dirty road. I did, however, loose my front diff so I'm going to have to get that fixed first now! UGG!!!!!

That's my truck! It had a RCD 6" lift with 315/75-16 on 16x10. Loved that kit and rode perfect. Wish I never removed it. Get the RCD or fabtech. If you have to get ProComp make sure you get the knuckle kit.
