Cruise control?

I'm a new member doing research getting ready to make an engine swap. I own a 2001 2 dr blazer with a 5 spd tranny. I'm wanting to install a 4.8/5.3/6.0. The biggest questions that i have are with the PCM/ECM. Hopefully someone can help. I want to retain as many of the stock options as i have now (A/C, all guages, cruise control).

1. Is it possible to use an engine with the Drive By Wire feature in a 2001 s10 and still retain interior guage operation (i believe the DBW engines are 2003 and newer truck engines)?
2. If my donor engine has the DBW feature will my cruise control still be able to operate correctly; is it just a part of the wiring harness that will need to be change?
3. what all has to be changed on the fuel supply system to operate these motors?
4. Will reflashing by existing 4.3 PCM/ECM control a DBW engine?
5. If i can get the original computer and wiring harness can i just plug it into the s10 and retain all functions?
6. Will the new engine recognize when the clutch is being pressed in? Currently my switch on my clutch pedal has been screwing up, so sometimes when the clutch is pressed while changing gears the motor will not immediately slow down, so the question agian is will a donor engine with an auto tranny recognize a clutch pedal switch?
