ok im lookin to do a cat back replacement after taxes so.....
i want POLISHED stainless steel so it looks awesome until the salt hits it LOL

i want true DUELS...
i want 3 inch
i want polished tips
and i want it to exit in front of the rear tire on the passenger side.


now hit me up with what you think..

Cat-back or true duals?

I'm in the middle of piecing my exhaust together right now, and a headers/true dual system is about $800 worth of parts, if you get aluminized steel. SS I imagine would be closer to $1k. I'm just getting steel so I can weld it. But nobody sells a system from the headers back so you have to make it up as you go.

unless you're running a built 427 or bigger, true dual 3" is complete overkill and will lack bottom end.
to start, what kind of truck do you have & what engine/mods are you running?

ps - catback (from the stock y-pipe) and true duals are two different things

He has a Silverado SS. The 6.0L exhaust piping does not route to a y-pipe.

Mike, as far as a nice bolt up, true dual setup, you might wanna look at B&B, Magnaflow, or Borla. Those are kits. I am not sure if they make 3" true duals. If you want 3" true duals, then you might have to go to a nice exhaust shop and have one custom made...

ok let me fix up my requirements
i screwed up
i want one muffler duel in , duel out.. cuz i dont want to mess with an x pipe.. yep, i didnt think my statement thru enuff sorry guys\gals.
ok im looking for cat back, stainless,(id like polished) 3 inch in\out on the muffler, polished or chromed tips, exiting in front of passenger rear tire. what i have now is 3 inches, so i dont have a problem stayin with that.

this isnt sbc world where motors dont make power and heads dont flow. this is the LS world where heads flow stock and motors make huge power

Here's a great article on exhaust size. Some info is based on Gen1 i think.

I'm running 2 1/2" all the way from the 3" cats back.

If true dual 2 1/2" exhaust is used all the time on a 4.6L Ford modular engine, dual 3" exhaust aint nothin' on a 6.0L LS engine!

I can get a B&B for about 350 bucks.. plus shipping from Kentucky I think.
ive been hemmin and hawing about doin that cuz i cant get pics of it.
