98 chevy 4.3 to 6.0 swap help!

Ok ive got a 98 chevy truck with a 4.3 and auto trans that i wanna swap for a 6.0 and 4l80 out of a 2500. im gettin the engine, trans, wire harness computer all together. Im gonna drop the motor and trans in no problem but the wiring i need a lil help with. My question is how to connect the engine harness to the truck cab connection, im guessing i need to connect the proper wires to the cab or sumthin?? does anyone have a pinout of the harness that come out of the cab?? Or can at least guide me in the right direction. Plz bear with me im new to the swapping!:doofus:

1996, 1997 & 1998 were transition years for GM trucks. In other words, each of these year trucks had different wire codes. Simular, but different. You need to get you a set of the "GM" brand Service Manuals for your 1998 truck. All the wire codes are in them, and, contrary to belief, is very easy to follow & understand. I bought mine used, on E-bay. They are usually still in very good to excellent condition, and reasonable to buy. You will find that they will come in handy for ALL your questions about your truck.

I love my 98rcsb with a ls2 iron block/80e trans.
