I say do it. I love my stall and I am sure it will work just fine without a cam. You are correct about getting a stall in there before you have it all assembled.
Its also good to do it now so that when you do get a cam (you're getting a cam, RIGHT?!?!??! :D), the stall is already there...
ok..now to give the guy a call..i was thinking about putting a cam on it or going with an ls2..but by the way work is going im pobraly going to have to cam it..wat do u recommend for a cam..
Hmmm...NNBS ECSB truck, 5.3L, CAI, full exhaust, pulleys, efans, 3000 stall, shift kit, servos, factory 20" wheels, 12"/16" drop (hahahaha) and future 3.73s.
I would say a 226/228 .580/.585 112+3 LSA. You'll love it.
lol alright man thanks for the help...do you know wich heads come on my truck..cause some guy told me dat i had 243s(supposley corvette heads)
look at your heads and see what the cast number is...
it says 243s..
Yes, the NNBS 5.3Ls have 243/799 heads.
I have a 2600 stall with stock cam and love it.
