hey tranny guys!
this is my 4l60e in my s10, it was leaking like none other, about a qt every 50 miles. so after 200 miles I pulled it out, and am changing all the seals. it was coming out of the front where the tq converter is and I was told to check the bushing to see if it "walked out". since I've only messed with a th350 and a chrysler tranny a few years ago in class i'm not positive of what i'm looking at. so here are some pics. let me know if this looks right, I called a tranny shop I trust and from their description this looks right, but extra eyes are always better.
ps. I was stupid and didnt change out the seals after I let it sit for almost a year, also the tq converter needs to be shimmed more then I had it.
I put it in with 0 miles on a fresh build, it was originnally built for a turbo 5.3, now backing a cammed 6.0.
on to the pics

You might want to try to pressure test the converter. I have seen them leak at the welds. The bushing looks like it is in the right place however the only way to really make sure it is goodntight is to open the pump up. I have seen these bushings walk and then look fine when inspecting them. Only to go and replace it and see it almost fall out of the bore when pressing it in towards the inner pump. Good luck. Vince
