so im on a break at work today so i drive down to the local 711 to get coffee for the morning. im walking out of the store and a lightning pulls in and parks next to me. so me being the guy that respects cool cars and muscle ( even tho it is a ford ) say hey nice truck man as im getting into my truck. he turns around looks at my truck and my giant ls1truck sticker and says "Ya only real men drive fords" and turns around and walks away. it gave me a good laugh for the rest of the day.
He just hasn't seen the light yet!!! LOL
Never got the Ford vs Chevy macho thing myself.
Own both, Love Both.
Always thought the Windsor was better the SBC, but SBC are dirt cheap.
Gen-III is better than Windsor, but its 30 year newer design and should be.
And both Chevy and Ford should have left the overhead cam V8's to
Europeans and Japs .......... give me push-rods or give me death !!!!!
Gen 3 is also better than your current ford mod motor too, which ISNT over 30 yrs old btw. The Windsor had good heads, that was it's only advantage over the sbc
I like lightnings...i like the 02-03 (whatever last year of that sytle was) cobras/mach 1's...
other then those cars, i think fords are normally 'ugly' (tho they do have better quality paint)
I'm not 100% impressed with new chevy trucks...tho they look nice when modded/lifted. I think all new vehicles have hideous interior.
I dislike ford because they seem to have more problems then other makes (atleast from my end at work). normally with the chevys the solution is straightforward. Ford seems to make everything overly complicated/hard to get to.
Either way, if someone spends time/money to mod a vehicle...i'll normally give them props. unless it's a stickered up honda or a truck with stick on fender vents.
