another tranny problem
on my way back from the club saturday night i was on 45 and put the Nali in cruise at around 65. And then i came to this car i was going to pass up,i hit the gas up ontop where the steering wheel is. I reached about 80=85 and left it up at that.when i finally hit the brake and tried to gain some more speed my tranny started sliping like crazy.now it feels like 3rd is out,it only grabs on on high RPMs.....Any ideas?

Sounds like your clutches are shot.
-
sound like your 3-4 clutches and band are shot, prolly need a new input drum

I think you need to get a Performabuilt Transmission.
-
Its your 3-4 bands. How are your temps, fluid condition and color....pull the pan and see whats in there.
-
sounds lack you have a case of bad luck. . . and what everybody else says. but to me personally, it sounds like the retainers that hold the bands in place may have broken or come loose inside the tranny. unfortunatel;y if that happens, it not just a matter of reinstalling the bands, they'll get chewed up by the drum. . .

TTT
got the tranny rebuilt, and not.first grabs on right, second holds good and right when its about to shift the RPM go up then shifts.(doesnt shift hard though) third does this too.either then that it drives fine
the guy that built the tranny for me put two diff trannys in and they both did the samething. any ideas?

Bad trans tune settings or broken transmission wiring. Some report having an issue if the wrong operating system was loaded into the PCM. This is often done to run a 411 pcm in earlier trucks.
