Tried a search and found nothing. I was wondering if this would be a good book to pick up. If not, any recommendations?

I don't have that book, but looks like good start to learn how to rebuild a ls motor.
Cheaper on Amazon.com
Good book. I have that one and 4 others, all bought on Amazon.

Ive got that book, and a couple others. Check out Dyno-Proven GM LS1 thru LS7 Performance Parts by Richard Holdener and most importantly, How to Build High-Performance Chevy LS1/LS6 V-8s by big bad Will Handzel. The latter is a must have for someone trying to get into this engine
my collection...

How to rebuild GM LS Series engines, Car-tech
Chevy LS1/LS6 V8s by Will Handzel, Car-tech

Not to mention all the GM tech manuals, ATSG 60e and 80e transmission manuals...
Awesome. Thanks, I'll check out those books. I saw quite a few of those recommended on Amazon.

How to Build and Modify GM LS-Series Engines
I ordered "How to Build High-Performance Chevy LS1/LS6 V-8s" and "How to Build and Modify GM LS-Series Engines" on Sunday from Amazon. I picked the free shipping which advertises a 5-9 business day shipping period. I received them today (Tuesday). Amazon rocks.
Both books appear to be exactly what I'm looking for. I can't wait to upgrade my library with some more books.
