Talk me out of it

Ive been really missing my 97 Trans am for a long time now since Allen took it away from me. :cry: The t tops, the 6 speed, the feel of driving a sports car.

So i had considered getting another one, maybe a 2002 or so and put my kenne 2.8 bell on it. As i was shopping for them i don't know, they just seemed like they were just too old, like it had all been done before. Well my g/f Jen said she wants me to get the car i really want, which has been a corvette since ive been about 4 years old. Back then it was the 69 stingray i wanted.

So i got to looking at the newer ones, and i know if i get one it will have to be the ZR1, it is just the baddest vette made really, and if i got a lesser model i would always feel like i settled on second best. Plus the fact that they are like 105k just makes me sick when my old 96 truck probably has more rwhp then they do.lol

So i thought wait a minute what about a new Trans am? That's what i really want, maybe not a TA but it's pretty much the same thing.
So Ive asked the local dealer here for a quote on a red 6.2L SS 6 speed manual with a sunroof.
Can you find any reason why i shouldn't?

I am a truck guy all the way,but the only cars i have owned are camaros.A 92 z28,72 z28,and my 71 z28 i still own.i would give a left you know what for that ss.

i want one BAD myself, but i wont give up my truck to get one.. not "Tribute"..

I would look at the camaro forums to see what people are sayin about them. I might get one in 3 or 4 years. after the truck is back alive.

I would get the convertible.
