Saved up some money and thinking about a nitrous kit ,any input would be much appreciated. I have an 04 5.3 with headers, cam, cnc heads,Nelson tune, 3inch exhaust no cat and CAI. And I'm not that great with computers so give me a break,Thank you:nx:

How big and how much money you wanting to invest?

first, youre gona catch crap for calling it NOS, thats a brand name not a product.
second, alot of people on this forum are fans of nitrous outlet, including myself. but all the major brands have good products.
third, you have to decide if you want a wet or dry kit, they both would work fine with what you have considering you really wouldnt want to spray above a 150 or so with your motor which is about where a simple dry kit maxes out with a stock motor.

you can just get a very simple dry kit for less than $400 or you can start getting a little more involved with a heater, purge, window switch, etc. theres tons of options.

Paid 350 for my plain jane kit, then 200 for a wideband.

oo ya, forgot the wideband gauge, you will want one of those when using nitrous!

Did'nt mean to sound stupid, I got about $600 to spend, now I'm gonna sound stupid, whats the diff between wet and dry , and whats the wide band

I'm only thinking about a 100 shot

Id go with dry then which means just a n2o line. wet kit uses fuel also in the nozzle. A wideband monitors your a/f ratio

this would be a good kit for you.
and like WARLOCK said, the dry shot just puts nitrous into your intake and the MAF sees the extra oxygen and adds the fuel thru the injectors. a wet system adds the nitrous and fuel after the MAF and doesnt rely on the injectors.
the wideband is a gauge that has a sensor in the exhaust to monitor the air/fuel ratio to make sure you arent running too rich or lean

I think Allen shut off my MAF, or something to that effect I was having some codes come up and he did something, I cant remember what he called it, would you still recommend a dry kit?
