Help!!! Rubbin my 22's!!!

SO i had to go buy another tire!!! sucks big time....

I know i need to either roll my fender, or cut it..... but dont know what to do.
the Passengar side is not as bad....

its barely rubbing the tire as you can see...

i have a belltech 3' spring drop... which i know i should of gone with 2' drop with a arm or spindle drop ..... lol... to late now....

Does anyone have the fender roller tool that i can borrow? ill pay for shipping cost both ways?? there is a guy on the ls1gto that lends it out but its a long wait....

many of my buddies say just use a bat!? Really a bad!? lol... or just cut the fender???????
and if its better, how do i do it myself???

DO NOT CUT IT

a bat will work or even a rubber mallet. Use a hammer and slowly work it up going back and forth with even hits...Do it gently and use your opposite palm on the outside to absorb the impact... Works like a charm. I do this all the time...

I used a bat to do mine. I'm running a 30" tall tire with a 4" drop in the front and I have no issues.

i dont have a rubber mallet, but i have a hammer with a waffle head. i figure that wouldnt be the right type. i think i have a soft head hammer i used for finish plumbing.... i need to look for it tho... i think i sheet metal hammer would work too right?

since i have never done this before i think i ll go with the hammer, i think id mess it up with the bat , i would prob over do it... lol :bash: an then be all pissed off... :argg:

Just start lightly and the more it needs the harder you swing the hammer. lol. Or do it redneck style and cut the whole fender out!! LOL J/K but I have seen it done.

so you have 3" drop in the front with 265/35/22 tires right??


I've always used the baseball bat routine.. I've seen a few friends use a cutoff wheel and go every 2" and cut the fenders and just fold it up but i wouldnt advise that like stated above..

cutting = rust!! maybe not where you live but that has always been my general rule of thumb. Plus if you cut it that edge is going to be sharper than the factory one so if it does decide to rub again its going to slice a tire faster than before. I used the rubber mallet route, although I have never seen/done the baseball bat trick maybe it works better?
