LTFT woes please help
Just wondering if anyone on here can give me any advice or may know what is going on... I have been trying to get my ltft's in check for a week or two now but don't seem to be getting anywhere I'll adjust them and drive to work and back home and there back up in the 10- 14 % range again I have done this a couple time now and they always seem to end back in that range. Both banks seem to be fairly close in percent. Any idea's or help would be greatly aprrecieated. I can e-mail my tune or data log if you would like to look at them i thought i could attach them to this post but couldn't
Oh ya and i have hptuners if it matters.

Looks like i should have read the post labeled hpt? he seem to be having a similar problem
Still any help would be great. Should I maybe try tuning my maf some.

Are they in the 10-14% after the VE calibration?
-
Yes they are still I think i'm going to try doing some maf calibration's next maybe cause of the cold air intake. I don't think it's a bad maf cause that is only 9 months old.

You didn't explain how you were trying to dial in your ltrims.
Maybe the PCM is trying to correct for a lean condition or faulty sensor and it's actually reporting the correct values for ltrims based on the correction it's doing.
If you keep trying to add fuel to lower the ltrims, and they keep going back up, there's probably a vac leak somewhere, or funky o2 sensors.

This is the shortened version of about 2-3 weeks of messing around trial and error and my own misunderstandings. :doofus: :doofus: The first couple times i forgot to fail the maf so that kinda goofed me up there. Once i realized i was doing that i disabled it drove to work a few times adjusted everything seemed pretty good was within a 1 - 3 % turn the maf back on and boom back into the double digits again. So now I did the maf a couple times and everything seems pretty good had to do one final adjustment to the maf today so we will see how that goes and i will probably check the ve table again later this week to see if that's still pretty close. The only thing that still kinda bothers me just by comparing my b1s1 to b2s1, is b1s1 only peeks at about 700 mv while the other side is peaking around 850 which leeds me to believe it's running leaning??? Someone mentioned one time that bank 1 runs leaner due to the design of the truck intakes cylnder 5 and 7 in particular. Anyone here have an opinion on that?? I have looked for a intake leak and sprayed some carb cleaner around the intake manifold with no change i know these intakes had a problem with the oe gaskets. I know i will never get it perfect without a wb but budget does not allow it at this time, I am in the middle of building a house. Anyway i have noticed more response and a little better fuel economy on the positive. But the other problem plauging me right now, i bought a jet thermostat that is no good with the stocker my temp would run 189 190 consistent with the jet i'm running 196 and if the truck idles it quickly climbs to 210 it is suppose to be a 180 degree thermostat and now i'm getting little blirps of kr all over the place cause of the higher engine temp. That's my project for this weekend get the new t-stat put in.
