The cam in my Denali has .550 lift, I got to thinking the other day is that too much for my stock springs?
stock truck springs yes, ls6 2002 springs, no.
Yep, need to upgrade those springs. Do you already have hardened pushrods?
ik I have the springs I need to find the time to put them in, pushrods no I don't
I can't run 1.85 or 1.8's with stock heads with that cam, can I?
Trying to see what my options are
what length of pushrods do I need
My cam is .551 lift, and I'm running 1.8 Crane Gold race rockers with no troubles. You'll be fine.
Pushrod length depends on the base circle of the cam. May want to check with the cam manufacturer.
Do you have a valve spring compressor? I'd be happy to loan mine to you, but I'm a ways away...
Do you have the type you can compress the springs without pulling the heads, I need to find one of the air adapters to keep the valve seated. the cam is based off a Z06 cam, so whatever stock pushrods are
I have the Crane tool. Replace 2 springs at the same time. I still think you should call the cam manufacturer to ask about pushrods.
will do
