whats up with this??
ok i whent to the track the other day and was very disapointed....
i have ran at this track before and won king of the hill before running a 13.4 with no spray
i whent this weekend and ran a 14.5 with the spray WTF
i know that it was hot as hell but will it make that big of a differnce???
i was expecting a high 12 easy spraying it and it was only slower??
what should i look for???also the truck sat in my garage for 10 months if that has anything to do with it
-
i would say sitting in the garage with the old gas has lost some of the octane and was retarding the timing to avoid spark knock. what was the temp difference?
-
heat and humidity are a killer
-
i put all knew fuel in it im going to change the plugs and the temp was around 95-96 so i know the track temp was way hotter but it would make that much difference??13.2 no nitrous to a 14.5 with it?? could something else be wrong??
-
was the N20 bottle full or empty, I know a empty bottle with a wet kit will make it run extremely rich and kill any power that you thought you had...
-
i ran a 16.4 COMPLETELY stock in my truck....then after tune, headers, servos, exhaust, k&n...etc i could only muster a 15.9?...it was pretty disapointing to me too but then again i was like you it was 96 degrees and about 95% humidity and people told me i should be low 15's easy in good weather so i would imagine that would have a lot to do with it. . . .
anyways i hope you figure it out!!!!

Were your 60' times still on par compared to before?
Did you drain the tank before you put the new fuel in, or did you just add the new fuel? 'Cause if it was just added i could see it still getting a mix of the old crappy stuff along with the new stuff *shrug*.
I second the empty bottle thought as well, perhaps the bottle valve wasn't completely shut for those 10 months and it slowly leaked out or something of the sort *shrug*.
Let us know how things go/what you find!
-
my bottle was a about half full and i could feel it when i hit the button along with the motor and charger screaming lol
the tank was drained because we took it out when i did the rear suspention (4link)
when i get home ill post my time slips and some video
do you think its worth doing a compression check??
thanks for the coments guys

if youre running nitrous, and its working, heat and humidity dont matter, nitrous creates its own atmosphere therefore weather is obsolete unless its raining:lol: so something else is goin on bud.:thumb:
