i have a 93 chevy truck that i just bought with a after market 5.7 vortec in it it needs a starter what starter do i need i called about a starter for a 93 model it was like 60 dollars and the 1 for the vortec was like a 130 dollars so can someone tell me what kind of starter i need and thanks for any information
Take the one off the motor you have and run it up to the parts store and compare it to the two. Match it up and take that one home..
The Vortec has a gear reduction and the old school doo doo engine doesn't.
