will 4.56 gears help my 1/4

hey guys just want some of your opinions on stepping it up to 4.56 gears from 3.73s ,the extra reving at highway speeds wouldnt bother i use to own a smallblock 93 s10 with a turbo 350 373s with a 3000 stall so that reved at 3000 rpm at 60 no problem .so i figured the silvy will be around 2400 at 70mph with 265/50/20. im just wondering how would light throttle be will it shift sooner will it shorten first gear,and will it bog down normal driving and make it louder or will i make it up to speed with ease.also how would it affect my stall speed launching .just wondering if its worth doing and i figured you guys would thanks for the replys

Gear depending on your RPMS at trap speed. If you're low in the rpms when you cross the line, gear up.

It won't bog you down for sure. It will shift sooner though. The 4.56 idea only came from the giant cam you were wanting to run.

still plan on putting in a cam which what will be my best combo and will it stall higher or lower with 4.56 gears

Lower gears help bandaid a too tight converter but they won't change the stall speed much. You need 3600-4000 stall for that giant cam you have picked out or you might wanna go 6.0.

4.56s will help everything--including burning gas a lot quicker.

yea suckin gas haulin ass
but i would think around town under 60 would be about the same and any thing faster then that would effect gas milage because wouldnt it get up to speed alot easyer with less strain on the motor?
