could be from $50 to $500 depending where you take it. Don't weld it in, it will be less expensive in the long run. If something happens to it you can buy another and have it painted for less than just the bodywork fees.
Yeah but if you just bolt it in kinda takes away the whole point to me of having a role pan achieving that really smooth look. I don't think they look near as good bolted in. I won't put one one just for the just in cause you get hit factor. the wife's truck got hit and there went the tailgate, bedsides and roll pan. Painted bumper for the win.
its the weight savings that some like rather than the appearance.
true but you make enough power for everybody.
If I had it to do over again, I would stick with the bumper. I love the looks of the roll pan, but in the climate I live in, rust begins to be a problem. This is even after painting both sides of it, and undercoating the backside.
the shop i work for charges about 200 to paint the roll pan
I've always liked the look of a bumper more than a roll pan
IMO if you use the truck, keep the bumper. Unless you get the hidden tow hitch. Also if someone hits you from behind, or you back into a light poll, you will not take as much damage to the bed.
