if you didn't have it cut open and cleaned out, you are pumping all the trash through the rebuilt trans.
+1 and did you get the cooler and lines flushed every time?
I didnt have the converter cut and cleaned, didnt know I needed to. I was told I would be fine if I just domped the old fluid and put in the new. I just put the bigger cooler on this last time so there would have been no trash in it.
There is no way to completely clean the converter dumping the oil fluid out. So the converter probably cause the failure this time. Contamination is the main cause for failure in any type of fluid power part. You are going to need to have the converter cut and cleaned and the coolers and cooler lines need to be flushed.Quote:
