cooler and pcm question

So today I installed my trans cooler and new tune for stall, and shift kit. The cooler seemed to drop the temp about 20 degres, is this normal for the size cooler I have 45k. I ran the cooler form trans to cooler to radiator back to trans, this is correct right? Also I noticed the temp gauge for engine wasent working, so swapped back out for old pcm, now it works fine. My only guess is the previous person with this pcm must have had a 160 thremastat. I will have to call Allen on mon and get him to send me a new one, I will post a pic of my cooler install later. Yes I would go trans to cooler to radiator.

I would have went the other way, radiator to the trans cooler then back to the trans. You will have a larger temp drop doing it this way.

Yep, that's why not to do it that way. The cooler in the radiator has the job of regulating temperature not just cooling the fluid. Since it's in with the engine coolant that has a thermostat, it's temp is consistent.

Agree, plus winter driving in colder temps.
