Pretty easy to do and cheap as well. Got both my sets of eBay from oregonperformancetransmission. Looks like you have extra room under there to work. Patience and attention to detail and anyone mildly mechanically skilled can do it.
so do i just ask for vette servo is all?
Yeah, it's a kit.
thanks for your help, is looks easy enough
BE SURE TO SEAT THE RETAINER CLIP ALL THE WAY. This is the most important part. If it doesn't seat right when you shift to second most times it will bust the trans housing where the servo is.
good to know! thank you. Looks easy enough to do i hope. ill try after wrk
i bought the servo from midwest transmission supply and didnt come with o rings! will new orings from a tranny shop off orignal servo work?
if its a 99-07 classic and the cats are still on its going to be harder. btw have a container handy to recover excess oil that you will need to lubricate the new corvette servo. you will need the corvette servo the kit and the red and the blue o rings.
Yes stock o-rings will fit. The outside of the servo is the same on any type servo you get. They just vary in shape to give more band pressure. Like I said just duoble, triple, and maybe want to quadruple check the retainer clip.
