I dont knw for sure but in my case, I made an impressive number with worked 5.3 heads with 2.02 1.57 valves and milled .020. It will be even more with the Fast intake and new lifters
alot of ls1 vet guys like the low end power of the lm7 heads
what are you looking to do??
NA?
Forced Induction?
Nitrous?
i would go ls1 shaved 0.005 but i dono how the lq4 would like that but it may bring up the compression of the lq4 i dono
im looking to do NA
what ever block with head setup i decide
with edelbrock carb intake with EFI and a square bore throttle body
a nice cam(and the metal work that goes with it)
super 40 single in dual out
3.73 with detroit tru trac
not looking for 600hp...400ish is good
why the old school style intake and tb not hatin just think it would be smarter to go with a fast and 90mm tb with some injectors
cause ima old school guy..love the classics
i originally was gonna do a carb setup..but did some research and saw that i could use the intake, but still be EFI
that and i wanted to be different..almost everyone goes with a modern faster flowing manifold...with a ricer intake tube
i want open element filter
its mainly cuz its way ezer to tune man there was one guy on hear with a z71 6.0 with that set up and he liked it but dare to be dif i guess just do your searching on how hard it is to tune and the reason we use tubes is to get alot more cold air
an LS1 with 5.3L heads= N20
an LS1 with 6.0L heads = FI
an LQ4 with 5.3L heads = N20
or a LQ4 stock = Milled
Why not go with an LQ4 with 241 heads? for the money they are just as good as 243s just upgrade to bigger valves and P & P them
