fluid evac systems

i was watching 2 guys garage and they had the dv12 fluid evac system to drain a tranny, motor, etc.

i wanna start doing my oil changes in my driveway and was wondering if anyone has one or has heard anything about em either good or bad...

I saw the episode this morning and although it's kinda neat, it looked like it had some design flaws. I have one similar made by a different company of a different design. I use it most often to pull coolant to reduce mess. Very rarely I use it to assist in brake bleeding or to remove some trans fluid when overfilled.

Not sure it's a big benefit for the uses you have in mind....especially at the price. Have you checked on the price yet? I have not but I imagine it high.

yeah it looks like its 100 for one that holds enough for what i need...id be doing changes on a new challenger which is low to the ground, and a pain to get under.

thats why i was interested in this thing.

im also hoping it will make changing the oil on 4 cars at once alot easier

It will never get all the oil out or as much as draining it will.

I had to get one to change the oil on my boat, there is no drain plug and the service manual even says it is the only way. It works very well.
The only negative I've ever heard about them, and this was years ago, is that they leave more crap on the bottom of the pan than draining the oil out of the plug does.
