TrueTrac Problems

I just got my truetrac and motive 410s in and its making noise its like a wining noise. Any suggestions????

Backlash set right?

yeah somethings not set right, take it apart and do it again until you hear no whining

Dont drive it till you take it back apart. You dont want to have to buy another gear set.

yeah that would be the gears not the truetrac

did you happen to install gear oil?

is it whining all the time or just at 55-60mph

I didnt install it i got a local mechanic to do it. I have talked to many people hes did ring and pinion for and they said they never had any problems but you never know but he has changed it out 3 or 4 times tryin to get the right shim to work then he told me he used a dial indicator to set pinion depth and used the #s on the back of the pinion to find the size shim to use. I know if a rearend is set up right it dont make noise so somethings wrong?

The wining noise is constant on and off the gas it does get louder the longer you drive it so i got it parked until i can get someone to look at it.
