Ok, I have been told lots of different things. Some say I need a 3000 stall, some say with my no locking tranny, I need a 2200-2500. And some say i need a 9.5 inch, some say the bigger the better. I will be driving daily, so... WHat do yall think?

3000-3200
Your gonna have to keep it close to stall speed most all the time so keep from cooking the verter. Of course tranny coolers will be a must, i thought you said u were gonna get a 3k...
I'm not sure of your mods myself Jeff, but I've always heard with the TH-350/Th-400's not to go too big on stalls on a daily driver. Not that that's right, but what I was told.
Not sure it matters, but I had an 86' Silverado with a built 350 and TH-350. I put a 2400 TCI in it and it was way loose for daily driving. It would rev to just about 2400 RPM's before it would move. I could be cruising 40 MPH and let off the gas and it would go to idle and lope with the cam. I loved it cause that thing was a beast, and sounded mean as hell!
i have a tight 3000 in mine and it felt great
Virg do you have a 9.5 verter?
I run a 3500 stall in mine all day and would not be afraid to tow with it either. Never gets hot with the 48k tru-cool add-on cooler.
what stall do you have gregg? art carr? And does anyone know if its better to get a 9.5inch stall or a 11-12 inch stall?
i gots a 9.5 yo
9.5" Vigilante FTW!
