I would use a drop shackle. You can get a 2 inch drop for like $40.00 off ebay. If you take apart your U bolts to take out a spring you should use new U bolts which will cost you $20. anyhow. if its a 4x4 take out the lift block for another 2 inch.
Oops,forgot to mention i already have the 2' drop shackles on it. and na,its not a 4x4
just do it right the first time and save up for the full kit
take the 2in out flip the axel and cut your front springs 1 and 1/4th coil you will have a 3/6 drop it will look and ride alot beta than takin a leaf out trust me no one will wont to ride with you ha ha

wheels will more than likely rub. need to be around +30 offset with a pretty low profile tire to not rub. As for the frame, it will scrape if you don't take inclines at the right angle. Some times inevitable to keep from dragging some frame.
